With over 30 year’s working as a neurological occupational therapist, Catherine brings a wealth of knowledge, skill and expertise to her clients. Which allows her to identify what is important to people and support them to work towards maximising their independence in a timely manner. Catherine provides her consultancy services to adults in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
Catherine also provides a comprehensive case management service for both adults and children across the United Kingdom and Ireland.
The primary goal of occupational therapy is to enable people to participate in activities of everyday life, those might include personal care activities, domestic activities, work, leisure or educational activities. Occupational therapists achieve this outcome by working with people, their families and communities to enhance their ability to engage in those occupations that are important to them.
You participate in an initial assessment, lasting up to three hours maximum. A detailed needs assessment report is prepared. You agree the goals to work towards and the case manager facilitates those on your behalf. The case manager acts as a coordinator of services on your behalf to ensure you receive best possible outcomes for the most efficient outlay.
Ergonomic assessments, also referred to as workstation assessments, ensure that a worker’s workstation is ergonomically designed to minimise the risk of injury and maximise productivity. Particularly recommend for anyone with musculo skeletal injuries returning to work. Also beneficial for people who have seen a change in their general health following surgery or major illnesses.
